The Project Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the projects assigned, while working in tandem with the Site Supervisor to ensure the ultimate delivery of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and directs project resources from initial client contact, through conceptual design, estimating, proposal, scheduling, budgeting, permits, construction to contract closeout to deliver a high quality product, on time and on budget, while striving to improve efficiency of delivery and to over-service the client throughout.

  • Coordinate with sub-contractors to develop scope of work, obtain pricing, coordinate work and maintain schedules.

  • Review the project budget and schedule with Senior Management and identify risks.

  • Chair regular on-site construction meetings.

  • Warranty items tracking and follow up to ensure timely completion.

  • Coordination with onsite Construction Supervisors to provide information, clarification, or other items as required to ensure work continues smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary school education in related field from a recognized institution. Candidates with equivalent / appropriate experience will also be considered.

  • Construction experience in ICI sector with a focus in project management. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A problem-solver, you are able to build trust with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.

  • Working knowledge of Building Code requirements.

  • Ability to fully understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to plan, develop and critically monitor project schedules.

  • Understanding of construction techniques and materials.

  • Ability to efficiently handle and administer multiple tasks on concurrently running projects with overlapping schedules.

  • Experience in scheduling software such as MS Project would be considered an asset.

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications is considered a requirement.

Project Manager

Our Senior Carpenters work cooperatively with other site staff under the direction of the Site Supervisor.   This position requires well hands-on experience with concrete forming, rough and timber framing, and finish carpentry work. 

Qualifications:

  • You have experience in building construction, specifically experience with concrete foundations, ICF, framing and finish carpentry, and the related equipment/tools.

  • You are able to work cooperatively and safely with others.

  • You are able to provide your own transportation to various work sites in the Muskoka Region.

Senior Carpenter

Our Labourer's work cooperatively with other site staff under the direction of the Site Supervisor. This position requires familiarity and comfort level on active construction sites, as well experience with construction tools and equipment in order to productively contribute to activities onsite.

 

Qualifications:

 •  You have experience in building construction, ideally with concrete, framing and/or landscaping, and the related equipment/tools.

 •  You are able to work cooperatively and safely with others.

 •  You are able to provide your own transportation to various work sites in the Muskoka Region.

ICF / Framing / Finishing Carpenters

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of the construction site, while working in tandem with the Project Manager to ensure the ultimate delivery of the project.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Initiates, coordinates and evaluates plans and schedules, and supervises / directs site personnel and schedules subtrades to ensure project objectives are met on time and on budget.

  • Implements and manages the Greystone Safety Program; performs regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.

  • Ensures sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives.

  • Prepares overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Project Manager.

  • Reviews and provides assistance regarding quality assurance and control.

  • Monitors all site instructions and change notices and makes adjustments as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • You have at least 10 years progressive experience in the general contracting industry as a Site Supervisor.

  • You effectively provide supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget and to your client’s satisfaction.

  • A strong leader and problem solver, you are able to build trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure excellence in project delivery.

  • You have demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration.

  • Sound knowledge of building techniques is required. Code knowledge would be an asset.

  • Experience with ICI or Multi-Residential projects would be an asset.

  • Experience in ICF construction would be an asset.

  • Gold Seal, LEED and Sustainability Training will be considered an asset.

Site Supervisor

Our Equipment Operator position will be required to be a responsible individual working under the guidance of our Field Operations Coordinator to assist with driving our larger trucks and trailers to transport equipment and materials to and from various locations and sites.  The position will require manual labour to assist with loading, as well as experience with trucking / transporting goods (with related licencing) as well as experience in the operation of small machinery for landscaping related tasks.  

 

Qualifications:

 •  You have experience with truck driving and hauling including trailering construction materials, lumber, landscaping materials and civil equipment, or similar related experience.•   •  You have experience in  operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators, skid steers, loaders, telehandlers and simlar equipment and associated training.

 •  You have experience in building construction, ideally with landscaping, grading, concrete, and the related equipment/tools.

 •  You are able to work cooperatively and safely with others.

 •  You are a trustworthy, responsible individual with an exemplary track record of working well with others and on your own.

 •  You are able to provide your own transportation to various work sites in the Muskoka Region.
